Guangzhou Institute of Measuring and Testing Technology, which is a social commonweal legal measuring and verifying institute of Guangzhou government, was founded in 1936 and regrouped in 1950.Its work function and business content are managed and organized by General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of People’s Republic of China.
At the same time, Guangzhou Institute of Measuring and Testing Technology is also the measuring calibrating/inspecting laboratory certificated by China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment_CNAS, and the calibrating/inspecting report made by the institute can be recognized mutually in 48 countries and areas such as American, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Australia, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Under the authorizations of Quality Technology Supervision Administration Guangdong province and Quality Technology Supervision Administration Guangzhou, the Glasses product quality supervision measuring station and measuring gauge product quality supervising measuring station of Guangdong and Guangzhou are also affiliated to Guangzhou Institute of Measuring and Testing Technology.
In order to adapt to and provide better service to the increasing demands of technology, economy and industry in Guangzhou and south china area, with the authorization of government, the branch institute of National Institute of Measuring and Testing Technology founded in Guangzhou Institute of Measuring and Testing Technology in 2005.It is of independent legal personality, institution establishment and with the third party equity status.
For more convenience to customers, three measuring centers ——Guangzhou Economic and Technical Development Zone measuring center, JIAHE measuring center , NANSHA measuring center , HUADU Business Office and DONGGUAN Business Office , which are separately located in the north, east and south of Guangzhou, have been set up by Guangzhou Institute of Measuring and Testing Technology/ branch institute of National Institute of Measuring and Testing Technology.
At present, Guangzhou Institute of Measuring and Testing Technology/ branch institute of National Institute of Measuring and Testing Technology have established more than 150 social communal measuring standards and more than 370 CNAS certificated calibrating/measuring projects, moreover ,the institute can carry out thousands of measuring inspecting/calibrating, product inspection/detecting, perform detecting and engineering measuring in ten main measuring fields such as geometry, temperature, mechanics, electromagnetism, radio, temporal frequency, optics, acoustics, physical chemistry and ionization radiation. All of the measuring data can be traced to the source of national measuring benchmark and SI international unit, and the certificates/reports made can be used as legal measuring management, measuring source supervision, system evaluation certification, technology fruits appraisal, and technical base of administration review and legal arbitration.
